Mid-East CTC offers multiple programs for adults looking to earn an equivalent high school diploma to get a better job or get into college.
Aspire - Adult Workforce Readiness Education
The Aspire Program at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers offers free classes, workshops and programs to help students prepare for their chosen career pathway. For some, this includes completing a high school equivalency diploma, improving basic skills, or transitioning into an adult certification program, college or employment.
Classes and programs available include:
- Adult Secondary Education
- High School Equivalence preparation (GED and HiSET options)
- High School Equivalence preparation (GED and HiSET options)
- Academic preparation in math, reading and writing skills
- Transition services – helping students develop essential skills for employment and post-secondary education
Adult Diploma Program
The Adult Diploma Program provides job training and an alternate pathway for adults, ages 20 or older, to earn an industry-recognized credential aligned to one of Ohio’s in-demand jobs (after passing the WorkKeys, course requirements, and assessments) AND awarded a state-issued high school diploma.
22+ Adult High School Diploma Program
Adults over 18 can earn a high school diploma through by completing their high school credit requirements through online credit recovery software. This program is best for adults who were within a few credits of graduating high school or who may need to pass required exams.
